Burren College of Art Residency 2019 (August)
Mary’s “26 Days in the Burren” project was an immersive experience at the Burren College of Art. She continued with teabags, infused with found or local objects (flora and fauna) and sealing each teabag with beeswax and tree resin. The idea of these ‘one-a-days’ was to document her time there. Each teabag attached on a dowel (6 across x 6 deep) and placed in a 18 x 18 inch box (three boxes total). Each box was edged with repurposed rulers in both metric and inches. There was a total of 108 teabags. 108 being a sacred number.
