72, 3″ Squares was an exploration into creating 5 photos-a-day in the Burren. Mixing the photos with typography and words from the poem by David Whyte entitled, Stone. The photos, along with found ephemera from the land, was infused with yellow beeswax and resin on masonite squares. I wanted to attach each 3″ square with hemp twine and visualized the final piece as wall tapestry. Much of my daily practice is working with my inner critic, not suppressing it but welcoming it and continuing to make regardless of the mental road blocks.
